Since 1999, Abel Tasman Village has cared not only for its own residents, but also service some 58 Community Aged Care Clients.

What are Community Aged Care Packages?
For many people, living in the comfort of their own home is an important part of growing older. The packages are designed to help people with multiple care needs to remain living in their own home, based on their particular needs.

The types of services offered as part of a package include help with personal care, dressing, meals, transport, laundry, and social acitivities.

The service is provided by our own bilingual care workers.

To be elegible to receive a care package, the prospective client's needs must be assessed by an approved assessment authority (ACAT) available from your local hospital. The assessment is free.
