The best life is one where you're independent, socially connected and comfortable. Abel Tasman's culture of care means that no matter where you're from or where you are now, you can enjoy life just the way you want.
A culture of care
Our philosophy is a simple one: we look after your loved one the way we look after our own. It's something felt very strongly by everyone at Abel Tasman, and it's been part of the fabric of our organisation right from the beginning.
Originally established to care for people of Dutch descent, Abel Tasman now embraces people of many nationalities and cultures. We understand the difficulties older people of multicultural backgrounds face and we appreciate that the unique celebrations, music, language, food and customs that have shaped their lives play a very important role in providing confidence, joy and a sense of belonging as they get older.
Abel Tasman's philosophy of care makes us unique. We combine two decades of multicultural experience with a strong commitment to the wellness and happiness of those we care for. This is made possible through our services and accommodation offerings, all supported by a wonderful team from a wide range of cultural backgrounds.
